A teacher by profession and a woman engaged in politics, Ruth Ouedraogo was born in 1987 in Burkina Faso. She is married and a mother of three children.
After obtaining her Brevet d’Etudes du Premier Cycle in 2008, she enrolled in the National School of Primary Teachers. After a year of training followed by an internship, she obtained her graduation diploma. With this diploma she joined public service in 2009 as a young primary school teacher. After five years of service, she gained her certificate of pedagogical aptitude.
Engaged since 2003 as a grassroots activist, Ruth became a member of her party's executive with responsibility for organising women civil servants in the provinces of Passoré and Yatenga. At her party congress in 2019, she was appointed General Secretary of Liberal Women in Yatenga Province. In 2020, during the combined legislative and presidential elections, she was active in the campaign team and first substitute candidate on her party's list in Yatenga province.
In addition to her political activism, she is very active in associations defending human rights and promoting the socio-economic development of women in rural areas.
